About me

Who am I?

Others describe me as a warm, dedicated and empathetic person. A description that fits well with my own self-image. Relationships are the most important for me, to protect those I care about but also show warmth to all fellow human beings. My logo on the home page consists of a circle, a symbol that reflects my view of life. I think we are all moving in circle like energy fields and our impact on each other is bigger and stronger than we think. How we relate to others is a reflection of how we relate to ourselves. By understanding, accepting and loving ourselves, we can understand, accept and love the other. That is the significance of the circle - the relationship to itself, the process of life and the relationship with the outside world.

Man is a creature with integrated dynamic and complex experiences. By integrating several methods and based on individual needs and context, an opportunity is created for an integrated understanding of ourselves, our own process and the outside world - that is, the circle is created.

"To be great, be whole; Exclude nothing. Be whole in everything."

My approach

I guide the client through his/her thoughts, feelings, memories, experiences, as reflected in the client's words, behavior, and imagination. Initially, therapy is about establishing a sense of security with the client, a relationship based on trust, understanding and empathy. I have an approach that is based on core conditions; empathy, unconditional positive regard and congruence for each client. In a secure relationship and established alliance with the client, I apply psychological techniques to suit the client's circumstances and needs. Together we explore the client's inner world and seek understanding of how the inner world is connected with the outer world. Through awareness and context, the client has the opportunity to integrate their experiences and understand the impact they have on his/her inner life and the outside world. This integration, understanding and acceptance often leads to the client is able to take greater responsibility for their own lives and allows for greater freedom of choice.

The total number of sessions and the focus of the therapy will be agreed upon at the initial meeting/assessment. In psychotherapy we usually meet once a week. Shorter therapies are more structured and focused, and tend to last between 5 to 20 weeks.

I also offer psychotherapy in English and Serbo-Croatian if there is need for it.
